Third Annual Service in the City Mixer
On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, DYP hosted our THIRD ANNUAL Service in the City Mixer at HopCat Detroit. We made a few changes, including inviting attendees to vote on their favorite organizations and to help us raise funds through a 50/50 raffle. With 10 great organizations and more than 150 young professionals and entrepreneurs in the room, this event was a great opportunity to make new friends and find a new way of giving back to the Metro-Detroit Community. We were excited to feature:
- Alternatives for Girls
- Boys Hope Girls Hope
- D.A.N.C.E INC
- Greening of Detroit
- Habitat for Humanity Detroit
- Mercy Education Project
- Michigan 4 H Tech Wizards
- Michigan Science Center
- Motor City Grounds Crew
- Transportation Riders United
At the end of the evening, we were excited to announce Alternatives for Girls as the recipient of our Community Builder Award and $300, which DYP raised in only two hours! Read the full report HERE (learn more about each featured organization and other opportunities to get involved) or the event recap HERE.
Second Annual Service in the City Mixer
DYP invited several non-profit service organizations to mix and mingle with our members. In the end, we hope we matched great organizations with great volunteers
